Supporting Marriage and Family
Marriage and family are gifts from God, where love, faith and life are deeply shared. The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship provides support for parishes ministries so they can more effectively prepare couples for marriage, strengthen marriages and care for the family.
Please share marriage and family resources on the archdiocesan website with your parish community, which includes information on:
- Catholic marriage preparation
- Marriage enrichment
- Natural Family Planning (NFP)
- Parenting and Family Enrichment

Marriage Enrichment for Parishes
For Your Marriage helps couples at all stages of life to understand and live God’s plan for happy, holy marriages by providing educational and spiritual resources.
Love Means More offers resources to assist with the education and catechesis of Catholics on why marriage is unique and why it should be promoted and protected as the union of one man and one woman. Each video and accompanying written material is intended to be used by a priest, deacon, catechist or teacher.
Building a Eucharistic Marriage is a 7-part online video series that connects seven areas for therapeutically strengthening your marriage with seven areas of deepening your relationship with Christ through the Eucharist. Couples can purchase an individual copy, and parishes can purchase a license for running the video series at their location. The parish license includes a leader’s guide, unlimited participant guides, advertising options and participant discounts on their own copy of the program.
National Marriage Week USA, held February 7-14 of every year, is a collaborative campaign to strengthen individual marriages, reduce the divorce rate and build a stronger marriage culture that helps to curtail poverty and benefits children.
Does your parish sponsor marriage enrichment events? If so, we would love to share this information on the archdiocesan website. Send information to Julian Saviano (jsaviano@archatl.com) or Patrick Metts (pmetts@archatl.com).
