Resources for Family Faith Formation
Family faith formation empowers families to deepen their relationship with God, live and learn their faith, share their faith stories and strengthen the relationships within their families.
Through this approach, In this model, parish catechetical leaders accompany, support and provide resources for families. Parish leaders walk with catechists and families as they pray together, deepen their understanding and practice of Catholic traditions and engage in service to others.
Family faith formation is primarily for families with children in grades K-5. Generally, youth ministry supports students in middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12). As formation is lifelong, faith sharing and service opportunities with parent involvement are encouraged at all grade levels.
The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship offers parishes various options for family faith formation, including Families Forming Disciples, an adaptable bilingual program created by the department. More on this program and other options are available on this webpage.

The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship offers Families Forming Disciples to assist parish catechetical leaders, catechists and parents by engaging families in renewed ways and to advance family evangelization and faith formation.
