The Office of Safe Environment, as part of Human Resources, ensures that children, young people and vulnerable individuals who worship, study or participate in activities throughout the Archdiocese of Atlanta can do so in the safest and most secure setting possible.  

This department is responsible for implementing and overseeing the full archdiocesan compliance to the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.  

Our office also ensures safe environment compliance, which is required for all archdiocesan clergy, staff and volunteers within our locations that encounter children and young people.
