RCAA Administrative Services Internal Audit seeks a part-time internal auditor to perform tests of internal controls and prepare audit reports of findings and recommendations to strengthen internal controls. This is an independent contractor position. RCAA Administrative Services serves the Archdiocese of Atlanta, including 104 parishes, missions, campus centers, 16 Catholic schools and over 1 million Catholics. Responsibilities include evaluating controls against established diocesan financial guidelines, procedures and practices, as well as relevant state and federal laws; performing standardized testing of controls and observing the weekly count and evaluating design and operating effectiveness. Qualified candidates have a strong accounting foundation and experience in internal audit, external audit, risk consulting or public accounting; bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; knowledge of internal audit methodologies and professional standards, including risk assessment, control identification, audit planning, fieldwork, documentation and reporting; ability to assess processes and identify meaningful risks and control gaps and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
