St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Cleveland is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to serve as the first point of contact for the parish office and provide administrative support for parish staff. Duties include creating and publishing the weekly parish bulletin, preparing sacramental certificates, recording sacramental events, maintaining the parish schedule of facilities and activities, scheduling Mass intentions and maintaining parishioner information in the parish database. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma (or GED), two to three years of related administrative or secretarial experience, strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication abilities and can manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must be fluent in Spanish with a strong command of the English language. Experience in a church or parish setting is a plus. St. Monica Catholic Church located in Duluth has an immediate opening for a full-time director of finance. This position reports to the pastor and is responsible for fulfilling the parish administrative needs in finance and personnel. Additional duties include preparing financial reports; preparing and administering the budgeting process; providing oversight of the collection, counting, recording and depositing of parish revenue; and directing the operations of the parish business office. Qualified candidates will have a degree in business, finance or a related field; five years of work-related experience; knowledge of accounting, finance principles and best practices; and prior experience in management, preferably in a church setting.
