Dear Brothers in Christ,
Thank you to all who took the time to complete the recent Ongoing Formation survey. Your feedback is invaluable and directly shapes how we plan and support our shared life in priestly formation. We received 94 completed surveys, and the level of engagement and thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated.
A few key takeaways emerged. Over the past year, 63 priests have attended one or more study days, and 71 priests indicated that they are satisfied with the current format, including the time and location. In terms of scheduling, Thursdays were identified as the preferred day for study days, with Tuesdays as the second choice. The most commonly cited challenge in attending events continues to be parish scheduling and pastoral commitments.
Regarding additional opportunities, about half of respondents expressed openness to attending an evening event with a speaker. The preferred days for such gatherings were Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings.
You also provided a generous list of suggested speakers, and we are very grateful for your recommendations. We are actively working to invite many of these individuals to future events. The most requested topics consistently centered on the interior life of the priest—particularly prayer, priestly identity, theology, Scripture study and spiritual direction.
In terms of communication, email and the archdiocesan Communiqué remain the preferred methods, though a number of you also expressed interest in a text-based communication option, which we will continue to explore.
Finally, thank you again for your participation. As a reminder, all who completed the survey and included their name were entered into a drawing. The winner of the $100 gift card is Fr. Tamiru Atraga.
Thank you again for your participation.
