Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Many of you are aware that on Thursday, June 11, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  Parishes around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart.

Here in the Archdiocese of Atlanta the diocesan consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will take place at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Atlanta on Friday, June 12, at 7 p.m. Since the space is limited at the basilica, pastors and chaplains are encouraged to celebrate this consecration at their local chapels and parish churches.

Please see below resources in preparation for such a pivotal event in the history of our country.
