Please remember that, per section 4.1.1 in the Employee Policy Manual, all requests for employment references or employment verifications for current and former employees must be directed to the Office of Human Resources at the Chancery.
In an effort to maintain consistency, the archdiocese will verify only the following information when a request for a reference is received:
- Employee’s full name
- Date of hire
- Date of termination
- Job title
- Salary, including year-to-date earnings (only when needed – e.g. when an employee is applying for a home loan)
- Status during employment (full-time, part-time or temporary)
- Job duties and responsibilities
- Confirmation of a former employee’s eligibility for rehire
