The scheduling of confirmations taking place between January 2027 and July 2027 has begun. Before you submit your proposed dates, please see the Form to Send—Preparing for scheduling confirmations – Resources.archatl.com dated Tuesday, May 26, on considerations to keep in mind in view of the Form to Send initiative.

Please note that the request forms are handled on a first-come-first-serve basis on Archbishop Hartmayer, Bishop Konzen, Bishop Shlesinger or Bishop Tran’s calendar. If your parish is implementing a lower age of reception through the Form to Send initiative and requesting additional sacramental celebrations, we will make every effort to accommodate prepared parishes aligned with the initiative’s objectives. Adjustments may be necessary based on request volume, as the bishops are prioritizing their presence to celebrate the sacrament.
Parishes will be notified via email with a letter confirming the date, time and respective bishop no later than Wednesday, July 8. The online request form will not be available after this date. POINTS TO CONSIDER:
- Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the most requested days for confirmation. Parishes located within the perimeter, please choose a weeknight no later than 6 p.m. for your confirmation if possible.
The bishops are not available on the following dates in 2027:
- January 11-15
- February 6
- May 15
- June 14-18
If the number of confirmation candidates is fewer than ten (10), consider joining a neighboring parish. If candidates exceed 80–100, please request two liturgies unless your parish can accommodate larger numbers of candidates and guests. As sacramental celebrations are expected to increase through the Form to Send initiative, minimizing liturgies when feasible is appreciated.
- The fall 2027 confirmation schedule will open on Monday, January 4, 2027.
- The spring 2028 confirmation schedule will open on Monday, June 7, 2027.
