The Multifaith Initiative to End Mass Incarceration invites all clergy to join them on Tuesday, June 9, at 6:30 p.m. for Unlocking Our Communities: A Virtual Clergy Conversation on candidate engagement.
Together, we will explore how to speak with moral clarity about mass incarceration and immigrant detention, learn where candidates stand on these issues and create public opportunities for communities to hear a different narrative—one rooted in dignity, justice and true safety.
At a time when mass incarceration and immigrant detention are too often discussed through politicized narratives of “crime” and “safety,” this training offers another way.
Together, we will strengthen our ability to
- name our moral convictions,
- ask candidates where they stand and
- create space for the public to hear a faith-rooted vision of dignity, restoration and real community safety.
We hope you will gather with us in community and as we continue to work together to end mass incarceration.
