The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship, in collaboration with Life-Giving Wounds, is offering three separate one-day retreats during the 2026 calendar year for adult children of divorced or separated parents. We will be offering these retreats at different parishes throughout the archdiocese in an effort to reach more people with this important area of pastoral need.
The retreats will give participants a greater understanding of the wound of divorce and the ways it affects their lives, offer advice about the difficulties concerning love and trust of others, and explain how the Catholic faith, spiritual practices and the sacraments are essential to self-knowledge and healing. Further details and answers to FAQs can be viewed here.
The retreat days will be led by the local Life-Giving Wounds Atlanta chapter or the President and co-founder of Life-Giving Wounds, Dr. Dan Meola.
May 30 | St. Catherine of Siena, Kennesaw
Topic: Grief and recovering one’s faith and identity
August 1 | St. Peter Chanel, Roswell (with Dr. Dan Meola)
Topic: Relationships – anger and anxiety
November 7 | Our Lady of the Assumption, Brookhaven
Topic: Forgiveness and redemptive suffering
Cost per individual is $25 per day (includes all meals and materials). Participants are encouraged to attend all three. However, they may attend just one and still benefit.
