Invitation – Lenten Day of Reflection, Chrism Mass and Jubilarian  Dinner – Tuesday, March 31

Date: February 16, 2026
To: Priests
From: The Most Reverend Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv.

Dear Brothers,

Peace and all good!

As we approach the season of Lent, I invite you to join us for our annual Chrism Mass, Lenten Day of Reflection and Jubilarian Dinner on Tuesday, March 31, at the Cathedral of Christ the King. This day offers us an important opportunity for prayer, renewal and fraternity as we prepare for Easter.

We will begin with fellowship and coffee, followed by the Lenten Day of Reflection led by our own Fr. Dan Ketter. We will then gather for the celebration of the Chrism Mass, during which we will renew our priestly promises and bless the oil of the infirm and catechumens, and consecrate the sacred chrism for use in our sacramental ministry throughout the year.

Following the Mass, a reception and dinner will be held to honor those in our presbyterate celebrating their 25th, 50th, 60th and 65th  jubilee anniversaries. This will be a meaningful opportunity to express our gratitude for their faithful service to the people of God.

Your presence is always a great joy to me and a true encouragement to your brother priests. Being together for the full day strengthens us in our shared ministry and reminds us that we do not serve alone. The schedule for the day and the registration link are provided below.

May this upcoming Lenten season be a time of grace and renewal for you. Our auxiliary bishops and I look forward to being with you.
